Parker Duofold International Black & Pearl Fountain Pen
Parker Pens started selling the first generation of Parker Duofold Centennial fountain pens in 1988. In 1989, Parker introduced the slightly smaller (in length and girth) but equally high quality International model. The first generation was replaced by the second generation in 1996, the most noticeable difference being the change in cap bands from one thick and one thin to two thick cap rings. The modern Duofold range of pens are great quality, good value, and with a significant number of pleasing variants, are great to collect.
This Parker Duofold Centennial fountain pen in black & Pearl - a throwback to the Duofold patterns of the 1920’s - with gold trim is a first generation pen. Orange was introduced as a colour in 1992, dating this pen from 1992-1996.
The pen is in good used condition, with some small signs of use and micro scratches as you would expect of a pen of this age.
The pen is a cartridge converter filler, and is supplied with a Parker converter.
The pen has an 18k medium nib in the Parker arrow design.
